1938 – Jones, Thomas

Thomas Jones, aged 49 of 14, South Crescent, Duckmanton was married and had five sons and two daughters. A native of Eckington, he had worked for the Staveley Company all his life, and over 20 years in the Black Shale pit. He was a member and ex-captain of the Markham Bowling Club.

Enoch Jones, his son, aged 22, of the same address, had worked at the pit since he left school
