1938 – Commons, John William Watson

John William Watson Commons of 91, Circular Road., had worked at Markham for about 15 years.
He was a Contractor. ‘Watson’ in his name was his grandma’s maiden name. He was identified by his overalls which his wife had sewn a patch on.
He was buried at Staveley and was one of the twelve men buried side by side. He was 33 years old and left his widow, Bertha and two daughters.
