Charles Bown who lived with his father at Romiley Cottages, Barlborough, was single and a native of the parish, he had lived at Romiley all his life. The Derbyshire Times reported that until Wednesday night all efforts to identify him had failed. He was buried at Barlborough with ten of his colleagues
