Albert Bell (32) 4, Victoria Road, Staveley was the son of Mr and Mrs W. Bell of Pit Houses, Lighton Road, Marsh Lane. It is understood that he had given in his notice to leave the colliery this week-end to go to the Renishaw Park Colliery. He had been married about two years. His father was formerly a miner employed by the Staveley Company.
