1938 – Silcock, Clarence

1938 – CLARENCE SILCOCK, Ripper, 42

Clarence Silcock of 37, Charlesworth Street, Carr Vale, Bolsover, was an Old Brampton boy and son of the late Mr Robert Silcock, who was well known in Brampton.  He had lived in the Bolsover district for some fifteen years and left a widow and an eighteen year old son, Gordon.  Clarence had worked in the pits practically the whole of his life except through the Great War, when he served with the Derbyshire Yeomanry regiment of the British Army.  He had been employed at Markham Colliery for around eight years.  He was buried at Bolsover.
