1938 – GEORGE CYRIL FOULDS BUCKLEY, Contractor, 40
George Cyril Foulds Buckley of 20 Welbeck Road, Bolsover, had worked in the pits ever since he was thirteen years of age and had been employed by Markham Colliery for fourteen years. George served through the Great War with the Lincolnshire Regiment and was wounded soon after going to France. He was later drafted to Ireland. George left his widow and four daughters. He was buried at Bolsover.

George Cyril Foulds Buckley (40) of 20 Welbeck Road, Bolsover, who was a member of a well-known Bolsover family, leaves a widow and four daughters. Mr Buckley had worked in the pits ever since he was 13 years of age, and had been employed by the Markham Colliery for 14 years. He served through the Great War with the Lincolnshire Regiment and was wounded soon after going to France. Mr Buckley was later drafted to Ireland.
