Lawrence Jacklin of 2, West Crescent, Duckmanton was a member of the Markham Colliery St John’s Ambulance Brigade and had been a miner since leaving school. Lawrence was married to Elizabeth and had two children. Lawrence was so badly burned he could only be identified by his belt and his shoes. He was buried at Duckmanton and was only 28 years of age.
